Al Paladino in Munich

It's good that this restaurant is offering take-away during the pandemic. The staff was friendly, the spaghetti all 'amatriciana and the tiramisu tasted good.

Just back from lunch here. The Paccheri pasta was way undercooked (not just al dente), but the waiter was very nice to take it back to the kitchen to bring a better version. The blackboard with daily dishes did not that the menu included also a dessert. So when the lady (I think the owner?) brought a dessert to my table, I told her I hadn't ordered a dessert (not in the least in a complaining tone). She was rather rude while saying I had a ordered the menu, and just walked away. She was being super nice to all the people around, so I didn't get why she'd be miffed with an innocent question from a soft spoken customer? Needless to say, not going back :-)

I agree with others - the staff are the best part! The food is fine but there is definitely space for a lot of improvement.

Staff was nice but food was bad. Honestly I don't get the high rating of this place. My pizza felt like it was frozen and just put in the oven. Not sure about the other dishes but definitely don't go for pizza there

The food was of the best quality, the service was great and the atmosphere very warm. I thank the entire team for the great evening, it couldn't be better! The price was more than justified for what was offered. Quality has its price.

My favorite Italian! The owners and staff are always incredibly charming and attentive and the small restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food is always first class, definitely recommended the Spaghetti Al Paladino or the Ossobuco (day ticket). But all other dishes are so delicious too. For me, a visit is always a little break and something special.

Delicious food. The waiters are courteous and very friendly. In addition to the normal menu, there are also daily specials.

The food was delicious but the service was really cruel. When I ordered my salad, he said "that's a lot of work" and then they charged us too much. Glad to go again. Really a shame, thought it would be a good recommendation

I particularly liked the ambience and advice. The menu was put together with great care. The decor is cozy and I noticed that the tables have no table legs and especially if you sit longer, the legroom is very cozy. The staff is very friendly. The location is great, right on the subway. Reservations are essential.

Nicest people, great pasta!

Good pizza good prices and friendly service. Has a very cozy and family atmosphere because it is very small. The dishes came very quickly and the restaurant is very easy to reach by public transport - is right next to an underground station.

Great Place and very delicious food

The staff is the best part of this restaurant. They treat you like family. The food is to die for! I had some ravioli with gorgonzola and pear sauce... wow! I always go on business lunch there, and I am never dissapointed.

My new favorite Italian place in Munich!!! Food was absolutely amazing & staff was friendly in the typical Italian way. Got great recommendations for wine & as I was by myself, just the right amount of appetizer & main dish!!! Try the octopus with celery appetizer; never had tried this combination; it was excellent... pic attached ;-)

Great Italien food - you feel link you walk in to the home of the owners. You feel super welcome and the service is over the top!

We were there for lunch and we were surprised. Great appetizers, great main courses, delicious dessert. Completely content.

Very delicious Italian food. Personally, I recommend their pasta and fish dishes. Priced higher than other Italian joints.

With all my travels, who would have thought that one of the best Italian meals would be off a station in Munich? I had such an amazing meal and great service. The octopus starter was hearty, flavorful, and had the perfect texture. The spaghetti bolognese was perfectly al dente with a rich but balanced sauce. With 2 glasses of their house Sangiovese, the entire dinner was only 30 Euros! I will definitely visit again the next time I am in Munich.

Really nice service and good fish

The restaurant is really recommended. We ate pizza, salad and pasta. Everything looked delicious and tasted good too. I can only say positive things about the staff, very friendly and courteous. The espresso was also strong and very aromatic. Price: Pizza about 8 €, wine from 4.50 € per 250 ml, espresso 2 €. Update: I have been here again, always good. Very friendly staff and delicious food.

2x pizza we had was bad, and the food was long getting to us. Waitress gave me incorrect change and ignored me when i asked for correct money.

The Al Paladino is absolutely recommended! It is not only by far our favorite Italian in Munich, it is also one of the best Italian restaurants in Munich. It is a small, romantic, lovingly furnished family business in the Munich Westend, where one recognizes the attention to detail. The entire team is incredibly friendly, doing their utmost for their guests - the big and the little ones - and radiating Italian flair. The service is just as perfect as the food. Sensational fish and meat dishes, extremely good homemade pasta, fresh and crispy salads, delicious pizza. It is always an absolute pleasure to spent some relaxing time and eat there. The prices are absolutely reasonable, especially for Munich standards. I would recommend asking for the daily specials (they usually recommend themselves) and above all reserving a table, as the number is limited.
